Puttu

PUTTU
Puttu is a breakfast dish that is popular in Indian States of kerala and some parts of Tamil Nadu. It consists of firm cylinders of steamed ground rice with layers of grated coconut. It is served with kadalai curry or banana.

Main Ingredient : Puttu powder and Coconut
Ingredients :

Puttu mix – 2 cups

Coconut grated – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 1 cup

Ghee – 2 tbsp

Water – 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Preparation :

  • Take the puttu mix in a bowl, add water and salt a little. Mix well.
  • Steam the puttu mix with coconut gratings.
  • Then add sugar and ghee.
Serve it hot with banana.
