Main Ingredients : Maida, coconut and porikadalai/Pottukadalai
Ingredients :
Maida – 3 cups
Water to knead the dough – 1/2 cup
Oil for frying
Porikadalai – 1 cup
Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Cardamom crushed – 1 tsp
Cashew nut ground – 2 tbsp
Preparation :
- Make a dough using maida and ghee with little water. Not too soft or too hard, you can add little salt(optional)

- For filling, heat a pan, add ghee. roast grated coconut for a while. Then powder porikadalai and sugar. Mix everthing – Porikadalai powder, sugar, cardamom, cashews. Filling ready.

- With dough, you can divide into small ball. Using rolling pin, make a round chapathi, keep the filling in center and close it.


- Wet the edges with water and just press with a fork. So that the filling will stay inside.
- In another pan, heat the oil and fry those somas.

Serve it hot or little later.
